RAY BROOK, NY - The Adirondack Park Agency (APA) will hold its monthly meeting on Thursday, February 8th, 2024. The meeting will be held at the Agency’s headquarters in Ray Brook, NY. The public is welcome to attend in person or remotely.
Public comment will be available to members of the public who attend the Agency meeting in person as well as those who participate remotely. If you would like the opportunity to make a public comment remotely, please email your name and the phone number used to call into the Board Meeting to AgencyMeeting.PublicComment@apa.ny.gov. Those who sign up for public comment will be limited to three minutes each. Public comment will not be accepted on any agenda items that are before the Board.
On Thursday at 9:00 a.m., the Full Agency will convene for Executive Director Barbara Rice’s monthly report, public comment, and other procedural actions.
At 9:30 a.m., the Regulatory Programs Committee will convene for a staff overview of draft General Permit 2024G-1: Certain Minor Regulated Activities in APA Jurisdictional Wetlands. This general permit replaces a previous general permit. It clarifies what regulated activities qualify for the general permit and strengthens permit conditions. The Board may authorize a 30-day public comment period to solicit comments on the proposed draft general permit.
At 10:15 a.m., the State Land Committee will come to order for staff presentations on proposed final draft plans for the Rollins Pond Campground and Day Use Area and the Golden Beach Campground and Day Use Area Unit Management Plans. The Board will consider adopting resolutions finding the plans in conformance with the Adirondack Park State Land Master Plan.
At 12:15 p.m., the Full Agency will convene to take any necessary actions.
