RAY BROOK, NY - The Adirondack Park Agency (APA) will hold its monthly meeting on Thursday, October 12th, 2023. The meeting will be held at the Agency’s headquarters in Ray Brook, NY. The public is welcome to attend in person or remotely.
Public comment will be available to members of the public who attend the Agency meeting in person as well as those who participate remotely. If you would like the opportunity to make a public comment remotely, please email your name and the phone number used to call into the Board Meeting to AgencyMeeting.PublicComment@apa.ny.gov. Those who sign up for public comment will be limited to three minutes each. Public comment will not be accepted on any agenda items that are before the Board.
On Thursday at 10:00 a.m., the Full Agency will convene for Executive Director Barbara Rice's monthly report, public comment, and other procedural actions.
At 10:30 a.m., the State Land Committee will convene for a staff presentation on the 2023 State Land Classification Action. The board will be briefed on the draft supplemental environmental impact statement and hear an overview of state land parcels included in the action. Staff will also request authorization to commence public hearings and a public comment period.
At 1:00 p.m., the Regulatory Programs Committee will come to order for an update on public comments received for the draft Eligible Facilities Request (EFR) General Permit for telecommunications projects that propose modifications that do not result in substantial changes to existing facilities.
The committee may also consider advancing a recommendation to the Full Board regarding approval of the proposed General Permit. The committee will consider approvability for proposed changes to an existing mine authorized by agency permit 2008-0246C. Carver Sand & Gravel, LLC located in the Town of Ephratah, Fulton County has requested operational modifications.
At 3:00 p.m., the Full Agency will convene to take any necessary actions.
