December 2022 Board Meeting Agenda


RAY BROOK, NY - The Adirondack Park Agency (APA) will hold its monthly meeting on Thursday, December 15th, 2022. The meeting will be held at the Agency’s headquarters in Ray Brook, NY. The public is welcome to attend in person or remotely. Masks are recommended for in person attendance but not required.

Public comment will be available to members of the public who attend the Agency meeting in person as well as those who attend this month’s meeting remotely. If you would like the opportunity to speak remotely during public comment, please send your name and the phone number used to call into the Board Meeting to AgencyMeeting.PublicComment@apa.ny.gov.

On Thursday at 10:00 a.m., the Full Agency will convene for Executive Director Barbara Rice’s monthly report, public comment, and other procedural actions.

At 10:30 a.m., the State Land Committee will be briefed on the Broadalbin Boat Launch Draft Unit Management Plan. This state boat launch is located on the Great Sacandaga Lake in the Town of Broadalbin, Fulton County. Staff will seek authorization from the Board to hold a joint public comment period with the Department of Environmental Conservation on the unit management plan.

The committee will also continue deliberation on three Adirondack Park State Land Master Plan determinations related to Wild Forest Basic Guideline No.4 – No Material Increase of Roads on Wild Forest classified state lands. The Board will not take final action on this matter this month.

At 1:00 p.m., the Regulatory Programs Committee will consider approvability for a proposed commercial campground located partially within the Adirondack Park in the Town of Mayfield, Fulton County.
