Weekly APA Public Comment Periods Announcement


RAY BROOK, NY – The Adirondack Park Agency is accepting public comment on projects currently under review. The public is encouraged to go to the Agency’s website found at www.apa.ny.gov and click the Public Comment and Hearing Opportunities link found in the News & Activities information box.

The link will direct the public to the Requests for Public Comment page where more information is located. In addition, the public will find an option to electronically submit a comment for the posted projects.

Presently, the Agency is accepting comments on the following proposed projects:

- Construction of a commercial use self-storage facility accessed from NYS Route 9N in the Town of Ticonderoga, Essex County

- Four-lot subdivision with single-family dwellings proposed for each lot in the Town of Greig, Lewis County

- Shoreline variance proposal involving the construction of a single-family dwelling within the shoreline setback of the West Branch of the Ausable River in the Town of Jay, Essex County

- Construction of a new commercial campground in the Town of Mayfield, Fulton County

- Construction of a new public use sand/salt storage shed in the Town of Essex, Essex County

- Installation of one new utility pole on the north side of NYS Route 8 in the Town of Hague, Warren County

- Three-lot subdivision in the Town of Ticonderoga, Essex County

- Three-lot subdivision in the Town of Providence, Saratoga County

- Greater than 25% expansion of a pre-existing campground in the Town of Johnstown, Fulton County

- Construction of a public gravel parking lot to serve the Jack Rabbit Trail in the Town of Keene, Essex County

- Activities involving wetlands associated with the reconfiguration and expansion of an existing dock and access path in the Town of Lake George, Warren County

The mission of the Adirondack Park Agency is to protect the public and private resources of the Adirondack Park through the exercise of the powers and duties of the Agency as provided by law.
