RAY BROOK, NY - The Adirondack Park Agency (APA) will hold its monthly meeting on Thursday, November 17th, 2022. The meeting will be held at the Agency’s headquarters in Ray Brook, NY. The public is welcome to attend in person. Masks are recommended but not required.
The November meeting will also be WebX live. Please go to www.apa.ny.gov and use the link for Live WebX found in the News and Activities section.
Public comment will be available to members of the public who attend the Agency meeting in person. Public comment will also be available this month to members of the public who attend the Agency meeting remotely because one or more board members are attending remotely.

On Thursday at 9:30 a.m., the Full Agency will convene for Executive Director Barbara Rice’s monthly report, in person public comment, and other procedural actions.
At 10:00 a.m., the State Land Committee will convene for a presentation from APA and Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC). Staff will address questions raised by the board since the September meeting regarding the Adirondack Park State Land Master Plan Wild Forest Basic Guideline No.4 – No Material Increase of Roads on Wild Forest classified state lands. The Board will not take action on this matter this month.
The committee will also be briefed on the Sharp Bridge Campground and Day Use Area Unit Management Plan. This unit is located in the Town of North Hudson, Essex County. Staff will seek authorization from the Board to hold a joint public comment period with the Department of Environmental Conservation for this unit management plan.
At 11:30 a.m., the Regulatory Programs Committee will receive an overview presentation from APA legal staff on the APA’s variance process and procedures. The committee will reconvene at 1:30 p.m. for an informational presentation on residential subdivisions.
