September 2022 Board Meeting Agenda


RAY BROOK, NY - The Adirondack Park Agency will hold its monthly meeting on Thursday, September 15th, 2022. The meeting will be held at the Agency’s headquarters in Ray Brook, NY. The public is welcome to attend in person. Masks are not required but recommended.

The September meeting will also be webcast live. Please go to www.apa.ny.gov and use the link for Live Webcast found in the News and Activities section.

On Thursday at 9:30 a.m., the Full Agency will convene for Executive Director Barbara Rice’s monthly report, in person public comment, and other procedural actions.

At 10:00 a.m., the State Land Committee will convene for two informational presentations from Agency and Department of Environmental Conservation staff. Staff will provide an overview on how the State provides access for individuals with disabilities to state lands, and a summary of public comments received on Wild Forest Basic Guideline No.4 – No Material Increase of Roads on Wild Forest classified state lands. The Board will take no action on these items this month.

The Committee will then be briefed on public comments received on the Inter-Agency Guidelines for Best Management Practices to Control Invasive Species on Department of Environmental Conservation-administered lands. Staff will request that the Board consider if the proposed guidelines conform to the Adirondack Park State Land Master Plan.

At 1:30 p.m., the Regulatory Programs Committee will consider approval for a 20-megawatt solar generation facility in the Town of Clifton, St. Lawrence County and a timber harvest project proposed in the Town of Lake Pleasant, Hamilton County.

At 3:30 p.m., the Full Agency will convene to take any necessary actions including considering adoption of agency draft policy authorizing the use of videoconference for Board Meetings.
