July 2022 Board Meeting Agenda


RAY BROOK, NY - The Adirondack Park Agency will hold its monthly meeting on Thursday, July 14th, 2022. The meeting will be held at the Agency’s headquarters in Ray Brook, NY. The public is welcome to attend in person. Masks are not required but recommended.

The July meeting will also be webcast live. Please go to www.apa.ny.gov and use the link for Live Webcast found in the News and Activities section.

On Thursday at 9:30 a.m., the Full Agency will convene for Executive Director Barbara Rice’s monthly report, in person public comment, and other procedural actions.

At 10:00 a.m., the Administration Committee will hear a second reading on an Agency Policy drafted to authorize the Use of Videoconferencing for Agency Meetings.

At 10:30 a.m., the Park Policy and Planning Committee will be briefed by staff from the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) on the State’s goals for renewable energy. NYSERDA will discuss various topics including the site selection process, funding, taxes, the interconnection process, and decommissioning.

At 11:30 a.m., the Agency will celebrate the accomplishments of former Warren County Board of Supervisors Chair and Adirondack Park Local Government Review Board Executive Director Frederick Monroe. A tree in the Agency’s Forest of Heroes Arboretum will be dedicated for Mr. Monroe. The event is open to the public.

At 1:00 p.m., the State Land Committee will convene for an update from Agency and Department of Environmental Conservation staff on ongoing progress towards implementing a visitor use management framework for state lands. SUNY-ESF will also share their work on the development of an ecological scorecard.
