REVISED June 2022 Board Meeting Agenda


RAY BROOK, NY - The Adirondack Park Agency will hold its monthly meeting on Thursday, June 9th, 2022. The meeting will be held at the Agency’s headquarters in Ray Brook, NY. The public is welcome to attend in person. Masks are not required but recommended.

The Forest of Heroes Arboretum tree planting ceremony to honor former Local Government Review Board Executive Director Frederick Monroe has been postponed. It will be rescheduled for later this summer.

On Thursday at 10:00 a.m., the Full Agency will convene for Executive Director Barbara Rice’s monthly report, in person public comment, and other procedural actions.

At 10:30 a.m., the Administration Committee will consider adopting an Agency Policy drafted to authorize the Use of Videoconferencing for Agency Meetings.

At 11:00 a.m., the Regulatory Programs Committee will deliberate on a variance request for a proposed expansion of a lawfully existing non-conforming boathouse on Spitfire Lake. The project site is in the Town of Brighton, Franklin County.

At 1:00 p.m., the State Land Committee will consider if proposed amendments to the Generic Unit Management Plan/ Generic Environmental Impact Statement for Campgrounds and Day Use Areas: Watercraft Decontamination Stations conforms to the Adirondack Park State Land Master Plan.

The committee will be briefed by Adirondack Park Agency staff on Inter-Agency Guidelines for Implementing Best Management Practices to Control Invasive Species on Department of Environmental Conservation-Administrated Lands of the Adirondack Park. Staff will request the Board to authorize a 30-day public comment period to solicit feedback on the proposed guidelines.
