RAY BROOK, NY - The Adirondack Park Agency will hold its monthly meeting on Thursday, March 10th, 2022. The meeting will be held remotely. Please go to www.apa.ny.gov and use the link for Live Remote Access found in the News and Activities section.
On Thursday at 12:00 p.m., the Full Agency will convene with Chair John Ernst welcoming new Executive Director Barbara Rice. The Board will also adopt a resolution to commemorate the career of recently retired Executive Director Terry Martino.
At 12:15 p.m., the Regulatory Programs Committee will convene to consider a proposal submitted by New Cingular Wireless PCS, LLC to construct a new 101-foot-tall monopine telecommunications tower, concealed as a 106-foot-tall, simulated tree. The project site is in the Town of Edinburg, Saratoga County. The committee will then consider Ticon Solar, LLC’s proposal to build a 5MW solar generation facility in the Town of Ticonderoga, Essex County.
At 2:00 p.m., the Park Policy and Planning Committee will come to order to deliberate proposed amendments to the Adirondack Park Land Use and Development Plan map submitted by the Town of Warrensburg, Warren County. The committee will consider accepting the Final Supplemental Environmental Impact Statement and act on the proposed land use amendment.
At 3:00 p.m., the State Land Committee will hear presentations on two Unit Management Plans and consider authorizing public comment periods for conformance with the Adirondack Park State Land Master Plan. Staff from the Department of Environmental Conservation will brief the Board on an amendment to its Generic Unit Management Plan for Campgrounds and Day Use Areas to allow for Watercraft Decontamination Stations.
The Olympic Regional Development Authority will follow with a presentation on proposed amendments to the Whiteface Ski Center plan. Board action in March will be limited to authorizing public comment periods for conformance with the State Land Master Plan only.
