May 2021 Board Meeting Agenda


RAY BROOK, NY - The Adirondack Park Agency will hold its monthly meeting on Thursday, May 13th and Friday, May 14th, 2021. In accordance with New York State's ongoing efforts to ensure health and safety during the COVID-19 pandemic, the public should use the live Webcast event to watch the meeting. On Thursday at 12:00 p.m., the Full Agency will convene for Executive Director Terry Martino's monthly report.

At 12:15 p.m., the Local Government Services Committee will be briefed by Agency staff on existing Adirondack Park local government administered land use controls and regulations in place for solar generating facilities.

At 1:30 p.m., the Park Policy and Planning Committee will convene for an informational presentation from Agency staff detailing the parkwide distribution of existing and proposed solar generating facility projects.

At 2:30 p.m., the Regulatory Programs Committee will consider authorizing a permit for a 5-megawatt solar generating facility located on leased land in the Town of Moriah, Essex County. Road access to the proposed site would be from Tarbell Hill Road and Dugway Road.

On Friday at 9:15 a.m., the State Land Committee will consider authorizing an Adirondack Park State Land Master Plan conformance public comment period for proposed unit management plan amendments to the Fish Creek Campground Unit Management Plan.

The committee will also be briefed by Department of Environmental Conservation and Adirondack Park Agency staff on joint efforts ongoing related to Visitor Use Management and Wildlands Monitoring.
