July 2020 Board Meeting Agenda


RAY BROOK, NY - The Adirondack Park Agency will hold its monthly meeting on Thursday, July 16th, 2020. In accordance with New York State's ongoing efforts to mitigate the Coronavirus, the public should use the live Webcast event to watch the meeting. On Thursday at 12:30 p.m., the Full Agency will convene for Executive Director Terry Martino's monthly report.

At 1:00 p.m., the Regulatory Programs Committee will consider approval for a new 150-foot-tall telecommunications tower. The tower would be in the Hamlet area of the Town of Newcomb, Essex County.

At 2:00 p.m., the Park Policy and Planning Committee will deliberate and consider approving a proposed amendment to the Adirondack Park Land Use and Development Plan Map. The Town of North Elba has requested to re-classify approximately 34.5 acres of private land from Moderate Intensity Use to Hamlet. The proposed map amendment area is located along Barn Road approximately 0.75 miles west of the Village of Lake Placid and south of NYS Route 86.

At 3:00 p.m., the State Land Committee will come to order to hear a presentation from NYS Department of Environmental Conservation staff on a proposed amendment to the Essex Chain Lakes Unit Management Plan. The presentation is for information only. The Board will not take any action at this time.
