RAY BROOK, NY - The Adirondack Park Agency will hold a teleconference public hearing for a proposed map amendment request from the Town of North Elba, Essex County. The teleconference will take place on Friday, May 15, 2020.
The Town of North Elba has requested a map amendment to the Adirondack Park Land Use and Development Plan Map. Map Amendment 2020-01 is a request to reclassify approximately 34.5 acres of private land from Moderate Intensity Use to Hamlet. The proposed re-classification area is located along Barn Road approximately three quarters of a mile west of the Village of Lake Placid, and south of New York State Route 86 in the Town of North Elba, Essex County.
