RAY BROOK, NY - The Adirondack Park Agency will hold its monthly meeting at its headquarters in Ray Brook on Thursday, November 14th, 2019. Please use http://www.apa.ny.gov and click Live and Archived webcast from the News and Activities list to watch the meeting.
On Thursday at 9:00 a.m., the Full Agency will convene for Executive Director Terry Martino's monthly report.
At 9:30 a.m., the Regulatory Programs Committee will be briefed by agency staff on large-scale residential subdivision permits issued from 2012 to 2019.
At 11:45 a.m., the Agency will adjourn to participate in a Ribbon Cutting ceremony to commemorate the installation of a clean energy wood boiler heating system at the Ray Brook State Office Complex. The Ribbon Cutting will take place at the Ray Brook State Office Complex.
At 1:15 p.m. the Regulatory Programs Committee will re-convene to consider approval for a telecommunication tower in Elizabethtown, Essex County. The project applicant Vertical Bridge Holdings, LLC proposes to install a 90-foot-tall self-supporting monopole tower which would be concealed as a 95-foot-tall simulated tree.
At 2:00 p.m., the State Land Committee will consider Adirondack Park State Land Master Plan (APSLMP) conformance for the Sentinel Range Wilderness Area Unit Management Plan. The committee will also consider if a proposed amendment to the Blue Mountain Wild Forest Unit Management Plan conforms to the APSLMP.
The committee meeting will conclude with an informational only presentation from New York State Department of Environmental Conservation staff on the Remsen-Lake Placid Travel Corridor Unit Management Plan Amendment. The Agency Board will take no action on this plan at this meeting.
At 4:00 p.m., the Full Agency will convene to take any necessary actions and hear member and Local Government Review Board comment.
