March 2019 APA Board Meeting Agenda


RAY BROOK, NY - The Adirondack Park Agency will hold its monthly meeting at its headquarters in Ray Brook on Thursday, March 14th and Friday March 15th, 2019. Thursday's meeting will begin at 1:00 p.m. and Friday's session will commence at 9:30 a.m. Please use http://www.apa.ny.gov and click Live and Archived webcast from the News and Activities list to watch the meeting.

On Thursday at 1:00 p.m., the Full Agency will convene for Executive Director Terry Martino's 2018 Annual Report.

At 1:45 p.m., the Regulatory Programs Committee will consider approval for a third renewal for a permit for the construction of a single-family dwelling in the Town of Broadalbin, Fulton County.

At 2:30 p.m., the State Land Committee will come to order to hear a presentation from Department of Environmental Conservation staff on the final draft of the Hammond Pond Wild Forest Unit Management Plan. The Board will then consider authorizing a public comment period regarding conformance of the plan to the Adirondack Park State Land Master Plan.

At 3:30 p.m., Park Ecology Committee will hear an informational presentation from Chris Navitsky, the Lake George Waterkeeper, regarding road salt reduction initiatives around Lake George.

On Friday morning at 9:30 a.m., the Economic Affairs Committee will host a presentation from the Tupper Lake based local business  Birch Boys Chaga. Garrett Kopp and Loretta Buerkle will brief the Board on the companys business strategy, sustainability plan and highlight the local sources used in the production of their products.

At 10:30 a.m., the Full Agency will convene to take any necessary actions and hear member and Local Government Review Board comment.
