RAY BROOK, NY - The Adirondack Park Agency will hold its monthly meeting at its headquarters in Ray Brook on Thursday March 8th, 2018 beginning at 9:30 a.m.

On Thursday at 9:30 a.m., the Full Agency will convene for Executive Director Terry Martino's monthly report.
At 10:00 a.m., the State Land Committee will be briefed on proposed amendments to the Adirondack Park State Land Master Plan (APSLMP) involving changes to the Travel Corridor classification category definition, and guidelines for management and use as well as amendments to related provisions. The Board will be asked to accept the Draft Environmental Impact Statement related to the proposed amendments and authorize a public comment period.
The committee will also consider approving Inter-Agency Guidelines for Implementing Best Management Practices to Control Terrestrial and Aquatic Invasive Species on DEC Administered Lands in the Adirondack Park as well as guidelines for siting, construction and maintenance of single-track bicycle trails on Forest Preserve lands.
The State Land Committee will conclude with a request from staff for the Board to authorize a public comment period for proposed actions involving the Whiteface Mountain and Gore Mountain Intensive Use Ski Areas. The Olympic Regional Development Authority will present final versions of proposed amendments to the unit management plans.
At 1:30 p.m., the Public Awareness Committee will hear a presentation from Pete Nelson and Melanie Reding on the Adirondack Diversity Initiative. The Adirondack Diversity Initiative was formed in 2014 with a mission to develop and promote strategies to help the Adirondack Park become more welcoming and inclusive to all New Yorkers, both visitors and permanent residents.
At 2:30 p.m., the Regulatory Programs Committee will be briefed on revisions to the Agency's Variance and Large-Scale Subdivision Applications. They will also review a report on variance proposals for delegated authority.
