RAY BROOK, NY - The Adirondack Park Agency (APA) will hold its monthly meeting at its headquarters in Ray Brook, NY on Thursday, September 15th and Friday, September 16th, 2016. Please use http://www.apa.ny.gov and click Webcasting from the Contents List to watch the meeting.
The Full Agency will come to order at 10:30 a.m. for Executive Director Terry Martino's monthly report.
At 11:00 a.m., the State Land Committee will consider adopting resolutions of Adirondack Park State Land Master conformance for proposed amendments to the Vanerwhacker Unit Management Plan (UMP) and for the Horicon Boat Launch UMP. The committee will also hear an informational presentation from Department of Environmental Conservation staff on the Grass River UMP.
At 1:30 p.m., the Regulatory Programs Committee will convene to consider approval for a proposed shoreline setback variance for the expansion of a pre-existing single family dwelling located within the 75 foot setback of Long Lake. The project is located in the Town of Long Lake, Hamilton County. The committee will also determine approvability for a timber harvesting project located in the Town of Ohio, Herkimer County. The harvesting would occur on a 115 acre portion of the Adirondack League Clubs 37,000 acre property. The project includes overstory removal and shelterwood establishment.
At 3:15 p.m., the Local Government Services Committee will come to order to review and consider approval for proposed amendments to the Town of Horicons APA approved local land use program.
At 4:15 p.m., the Public Awareness Committee will mark the 100th year anniversary of the National Park Service with a presentation celebrating Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks.
On Friday morning at 9:00, the Park Policy and Planning Committee will review and consider approval for proposed map amendments for private lands in the Towns of Minerva and Crown Point, Essex County.
At 10:45 a.m., the Full Agency will come to order for committee reports, Local Government Review Board, public and member comment.
