RAY BROOK, NY - The Adirondack Park Agency (APA) will hold its monthly meeting at its headquarters in Ray Brook, NY on Thursday, July 14th, 2016. Please use http://www.apa.ny.gov and click Webcasting from the Contents List to watch the meeting.
The Full Agency will come to order at 9:00 a.m. for Executive Director Terry Martino's monthly report. Chairman Sherman Craig will also make Agency Board Member committee assignments.
At 9:45 a.m., Agency Associate Counsel Sarah Reynolds will conduct an APA Jurisdictional overview as part of recently confirmed Board Members' orientation.
At 11:15 a.m., the Regulatory Programs Committee will convene to review a proposed development project located in the Town of North Elba, Essex County. The project involves the replacement of an existing convenience store, gas station and three residential cabins with a new store and gas station. If approved the proposal would expand the number of fuel pumps and parking spaces as well as include the installation of a new on-site wastewater treatment system.
At 1:00 p.m., the State Land Committee will hear presentations from the Department of Environmental Conservation on the Vanderwhacker Mountain Wild Forest Unit Management Plan (UMP) amendment and the Horicon Boat Launch UMP. The Board will consider authorizing a SLMP conformance period public comment period to run simultaneously with the Departments comment period on these UMPs. The Board will also consider Adirondack Park State Land Master Plan conformance for an amendment to the Wilmington Wild Forest UMP.
At 2:15 p.m., the Park Policy and Planning Committee will come to order to review and consider accepting draft supplemental environmental impact statements for proposed amendments to the Adirondack Park Land Use and Development Plan Map. The proposed amendments were submitted by the Towns of Minerva and Crown Point located in Essex County. The Board will also consider a proposed map amendment submitted by a private landowner for property in the Town of St. Armand, Franklin County.
At 3:45 p.m., the Local Government Services Committee will convene to consider approving amendments submitted by the Town of Lake George to revise their Agency Approved Local Land Use Program.
At 4:30 p.m., the Full Agency will come to order for committee reports, Local Government Review Board, public and member comment.

The August Agency Meeting is scheduled for August 11-12, 2016 at the Adirondack Park Agency Headquarters in Ray Brook, New York. The mission of the Adirondack Park Agency is to protect the public and private resources of the Adirondack Park through the exercise of the powers and duties of the Agency as provided by law.
