APA April Agency Meeting Agenda


RAY BROOK, NY - The Adirondack Park Agency (APA) will hold its monthly meeting at its headquarters in Ray Brook, NY on Friday, April 17, 2015. The April meeting is one day only. Please use http://www.apa.ny.gov and click Webcasting from the Contents List to watch the meeting.

The Full Agency will come to order at 9:00 a.m. for Executive Director Martino's monthly report. The Executive Director will present the Agencys 2015 Earth Day Resolution.

At 9:30 a.m., the Regulatory Programs Committee will convene to consider Lyme Adirondack Timberlands I, LLC request to harvest timber on a portion of their Colton-Piercefield tract. The project site is located in the Town of Piercefield, St. Lawrence County. The committee will hear a request for a second renewal for the construction of a single family dwelling and associated development on a 4.4 acre parcel of land containing wetlands. The proposed project is located in the Town of Broadalbin, Fulton County.

The Committee will also consider authorizing public comment on General Permit 2015-G-1 and General Permit 2014G-1A. These general permits involve the management of aquatic and terrestrial invasive species.

The committee meeting will conclude with an overview of NYS Department of Transportations projects to replace seven bridges in the Town of Keene, Essex County. The bridges will be redesigned to accommodate increased water flows associated with storm events.

At 1:00 p.m., The State Land Committee will then hear first readings on proposed amendments to the Jessup River Unit Management Plan and the Pepperbox Unit Management Plan. In addition, the Agency Board will consider authorizing a public comment period for these proposed amendments. The committee meeting will conclude with an information only presentation on the Alger Island Unit Management Plan.

At 2:15 p.m. the Local Government Services Committee will deliberate a proposed amendment to revise several elements of the Town of Queensbury's Approved Local Land Use Program.

At 3:00 p.m., the Full Agency will come to order for committee reports, Local Government Review Board comment, public and member comment.
