RAY BROOK, NY The Adirondack Park Agency (APA) will hold its monthly meeting at its headquarters in Ray Brook, NY on Thursday January 15. The January meeting will be one day only. Please use http://www.apa.ny.gov and click Webcasting from the Contents List to watch the meeting.
The Full Agency will come to order at 9:00 a.m. for Executive Director Martinos monthly report.
At 9:30 a.m., the Regulatory Programs Committee will convene to review a major subdivision project proposal. New York Land and Lakes Development, LLC seeks approval to subdivide 1,119 acres of land to create 24 building lots and five common lots. The project site is located in the towns of Bleecker and Johnstown, Fulton County.
At 11:30 a.m., the Legal Affairs Committee will consider authorizing Agency staff to file a Notice of Proposed Rule Making pursuant to the State Administrative Procedure Act for a new emergency project rule. The proposed rule will define land use and development that qualifies for emergency project status. This new rule will expedite approval of emergency projects that are immediately necessary for the protection of life or property.
At 1:00 p.m., the Economic Affairs Committee will come to order for a presentation from Mr. Jamie Rodgers and Ms. Jennifer Monroe. They will brief the Board on the energy efficiency and alternative energy programs administered by the Adirondack North County Association (ANCA).
At 2:00 PM, the Public Awareness and Communications Committee will be briefed by Mr. James McKenna and Mr. Shaun Ondack regarding the Regional Office of Sustainable Tourisms (ROOST) promotional website - Adirondacks,USA. The Committee will also learn how ROOST uses innovative web technologies and social media to promote and brand the Adirondack Park.
At 3:00 PM, the Park Policy and Planning Committee will consider a proposed map amendment for private property in the Town of Moriah, Essex County. The proposed map amendment, if approved, would reclassify approximately 20 acres of Resources Management lands to Moderate Intensity Use.
At 4:00 PM the Full Agency will come to order for committee reports, Local Government Review Board comment, public and member comment.

The February Agency Meeting is scheduled for February 12-13, 2015 at the Adirondack Park Agency Headquarters in Ray Brook, New York.
