ADIRONDACK PARK AGENCY DECEMBER 2012 MEETING AGENDA


RAY BROOK, NY - The Adirondack Park Agency (APA) will hold its regularly scheduled monthly meeting at its Headquarters in Ray Brook, NY on Thursday, December 13, 2012. This months meeting is one day only and will be webcast live. Please use www.apa.ny.gov and click Webcasting from the Contents list to watch the meeting.

The Full Agency will convene at 8:45AM for Executive Director Terry Martino's monthly report.

At 9:15, the Regulatory Programs Committee will convene to determine approvability for the Essex County, New York State Police and New York State Electric and Gas proposed public safety radio system and shared microwave network. The project spans Essex, Warren and Washington Counties and involves the installation of telecommunications infrastructure at 14 locations in 12 towns within the Adirondack Park. Other notable aspects of the proposed project include the installation of a microwave reflector panel at an undeveloped site in the Town of Lewis and new land use and development on State Land.

The Committee will then hear a first reading of a proposed wetlands mitigation banking prospectus for the Adirondack Park. The prospectus involves the New York State Department of Transportation, Adirondack Park Agency and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. Agency staff are seeking authorization to release the draft prospectus for public comment.

At 11:15, the State Land Committee will come together to determine State Land Master Plan compliance for the Second Pond Boat Launch Unit Management Plan and Reclassification proposal.

The committee will then hear a first reading, informational presentation from NYS Department of Environmental Conservation staff on the Taylor Pond Management Complex Unit Management Plan. At 12:45, the Full Agency will assemble to take action as necessary.

The meeting will conclude with committee reports, Review Board, public and member comment.
