JUNE AGENCY MEETING AGENDA


RAY BROOK, NY - The Adirondack Park Agency (APA) will hold its regularly scheduled monthly meeting at its Headquarters in Ray Brook, NY on Thursday, June 14 and Friday, June 15, 2012. The meeting will be webcast live. Please use www.apa.ny.gov and click Webcasting from the Contents list to watch the meeting.

The Full Agency will convene at 9:00AM for Executive Director Terry Martino's monthly report. The Executive Director will review monthly accomplishments and highlights.

At 9:30, the Public Awareness and Communications Committee along with the State Land Committee will hold a joint committee meeting to highlight the 40th Anniversary of the Adirondack Park State Land Master Plan. Peter S. Paine, Jr., William H. Kissel, Neil F. Woodworth, Michael G. DiNunzio, and Robert K. Davies will discuss the Master Plan's origins and evolution, as well as current and future management issues for the Forest Preserve.

At 1:00, the Full Agency will convene for a Community Spotlight presentation. Town of Newcomb Supervisor George Canon will highlight his community and discuss successes and issues facing this Essex County municipality.

At 2:00, the State Land Committee will hear a presentation from Department of Environmental staff regarding recreational use statistics. DEC staff will also present the Second Pond Boat Launch Unit Management Plan and reclassification proposal with a request to proceed to public hearing.

On Friday Morning at 9:00, the Regulatory Programs Committee will determine approvability for a proposed meat processing facility to be located in the Town of Ticonderoga, Essex County.

At 10:00, the Local Government Services Committee will hear a status report on local land use controls in the Park and review implemented APA-approved Local Land Use Programs.

At 11:00, the Full Agency will assemble to take action as necessary.

The July Agency is scheduled for July 12-13, 2012 at Agency headquarters in Ray Brook.

August Agency Meeting: August 16-17, 2012 at the Adirondack Park Agency Headquarters.
