AGENCY FEBRUARY MEETING AGENDA


RAY BROOK, NY - The Adirondack Park Agency (APA) will hold its regularly scheduled monthly meeting at its Headquarters in Ray Brook, NY on Thursday, February 16, 2012 at 9:00AM. The Full Agency will convene at 9:00AM for Executive Director Terry Martino's monthly report.

At 9:30, the Regulatory Program Committee will deliberate three separate variance proposals for relief from the Agency's shoreline setback requirements.

The Committee will hear a request to construct a single family dwelling within 50 feet of the mean high water mark on Sacandaga Lake. The project is located in the Town of Lake Pleasant, Hamilton County. The Committee will hear a request for a shoreline structure setback variance to construct a logging bridge across the Branch River. The project is located in the town of North Hudson, Essex County. The Committee will then hear a request for a shoreline structure setback variance for construction of a single family dwelling in Resource Management classified land within 100 feet of the mean high water mark of Lake George. The project site is located in the town of Putnam, Washington County.

At 1:15, the State Land Committee will hear a report from NYS DEC Region 6 staff regarding the implementation of unit management plans.

At 2:00, the Park Policy Committee will come to order to determine approvability for a proposed map amendment to the Adirondack Park Land Use and Development Plan. The proposal requests reclassification of approximately 9.6 acres of land in the Town of Harrietstown, Franklin County. The proposal was submitted by a private citizen. At 3:00, the Full Agency will reconvene for a Community Spotlight presentation. Town of Jay Supervisor, Randy Douglas will discuss opportunities and challenges facing his community.

The committee meeting will finish with an Agency staff presentation on the functionality of the Agencys GIS "Lookup System."

At 4:00, the Full Agency will assemble to take action as necessary.

The March Agency is scheduled for March 15-16, 2012 at Agency headquarters in Ray Brook.

April Agency Meeting: April 19-20, 2012 at the Adirondack Park Agency Headquarters.
