ADIRONDACK PARK AGENCY JUNE MEETING CANCELLED
RAY BROOK, NY - The Adirondack Park Agency announces cancellation of the June 2011 Agency Board Meeting. Agency Chairman Curtis F. Stiles cancelled the June meeting due to the absence of action items that require an Agency Board vote.
Chairman Stiles said, "Due to a combinations of factors including project timing and increased opportunities for Agency staff determinations, there are no action items that require an Agency Board vote this month. Therefore, in consultation with Executive Director Martino, I have cancelled the June 9, 2011 Board meeting. We anticipate a very busy July Board meeting."
Executive Director Martino said, "The cancellation of the June meeting will result in a significant cost savings for the Agency. In addition, staff will be able to remain focused on a full slate of complicated and demanding projects. As we continue to address Agency re-organization, we anticipate more efficiency gains."
The Adirondack Park Agency's next scheduled meeting is July 14-15, 2011 at APA headquarters in Ray Brook, NY.
The mission of the Adirondack Park Agency is to protect the public and private resources of the Adirondack Park through the exercise of the powers and duties of the Agency as provided by law. For more information, call the APA at (518) 891-4050 or visit www.apa.state.ny.us.
