PAUL SMITHS, NY With spring making its way north, on Saturday March 27, the Visitor Interpretive Center at Paul Smiths will host an interesting and fun event, a bluebird nest box workshop. With the help of VIC staff, you will learn about the lifestyles and habitat of the bluebird, the official State bird, as well as current conservation efforts. The workshop will begin at 10:00 a.m. and last until noon. Pre-registration is required. The cost for materials is $10 per nest box. Call the Paul Smiths VIC at 518-327-3000 for further information.
This event will also take place at the Newcomb Visitor Interpretive Center on Saturday, April 3, from 1:00 - 2:30 p.m. For more information about this and other programs at the Newcomb VIC, call (518) 582-2000.
The Adirondack Park Agency operates two Visitor Interpretive Centers at Paul Smiths and Newcomb.
